Surreal Illustrations Fill Wildlife Silhouettes by Jessica Janik
Aspiring artist and illustrator from Germany Jessica Janik creates alluring works of art in watercolor, her compositions blur the lines between surrealism and reality.
She imposes silhouettes of animals or human bodies with that of a washed landscape, diffusing nature and its creations into one cohesive piece. Her paintings evoke a sense of calm as we watch them, the hues of blue disseminating tranquility. Janik seeks inspiration from things, big and small around her, her creations being an outlet to satisfy her ever hungry inner soul.

Colorado based artist Aleks from Gems and Bones creations are “inspired by the elements of Earth and the Magic hidden in every component of life.” She confesses, “In my jewelry, I combine the beauty of crystals and intricate statement designs. I truly believe that there is nothing that can highlight the inner beauty and spirituality better than Nature itself.
The key elements of my developing as an artist - traveling all around the globe and love of nature - motivate me to encourage my customers to embrace the fashion that comes from the vibrant mixture of cultures and past-materialistic desire of peace, happiness, beauty and freedom. My goal is to share my artistic vision and ideas with those who appreciate art in its very unique and unpredictable forms. Through each piece of my custom jewelry, I look forward to bringing the beauty and inspiration to everyone!”

I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. And I am horribly limited.
